At this time on this day 2 years ago, we were deeply asleep in Ojinaga, Mexico, preparing to drive for Many hours the next morn to Boquillas del Carmen, memorable man.

Friday GS report, belated see man:

Dragged ourself from bed and were almost too sleepy to drive, zzz man.

Hit Many (2+2) GSs and found something at only two, see man:

-- shirt & pajama pants for Mini-B. = free, whee man

-- 2 pants for Mini-B. = $1; very partial U.S. Navy train set (Lionel) = free, whee man

Total = $1, unbeatable man

Amidst the GSs, we stopped at the Salvation Army store, see man.

Everything except furniture was half-price, glee man.

-- barely worn, perfect-fitting brown dress-loafers, whee man

-- 2 barely used, smaller-sized cooking-pots for Mrs. T-B., delighted she man

-- Many (2+1) new-looking tablespoons, good to hoard man

-- huge floppy-sided suitcase for visiting Ecu couple, serendipity man

Total = $Many ($2x2x2x2x2)-($2+2+2), unbeatable man

We then lunched at Burger King with use of a coupon, deal man.

Afterwards, took T-B.-mobile for warshing & oil-change*, necessary man.

Took Mrs.-T-B.-mobile for warshing & oil-change, necessary man.

*with use of Many (2+2+2) quarts of Castrol Gold Edge full synthetic, purchased in December at AutoZone for $2/quart, whee man

For dinner, Mrs. T-B. made us take her out for Mexican, coupon for free entree man.

Afterwards, went to Sears and spent $Many on deep-closeout apparel, steals man.

Mini-B. rode escalator with each of us Many times each, delighted wee man.

Mini-B. highly impressed with self-flushing urinal in men's room, future engineer man.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Saturday report, less belatedly see man:

Slept through alarm, deep zzz man.

Took MIni-B. on GS trail, bachelor morning out man.

Found only 2 T-shirts = $Many ($2+1), oh well man.

Returned fruitlessly to Salvation Army for more cooking-pots for Mrs. T-B., oh well man.

Lunched at Langosta Roja at Mini-B.'s incessantly repeated request, insistent wee man.

Mini-B. observed that all the langostas were napping, deeply tanked man.

Mini-B. eschewed flounder in favor of French fries with ketchup, discriminating wee man.

We spent $Many for priceless outing with Mini-B., bachelor day out man.

Took Nap #1 after casa-ward arrival, zzz man.

Went to supermarket, Walgreens for closeout specials, and Aldi, frantically shop man.

Mowed front & back lawns at casa, not too physically self-destructive man.

For dinner, Tiff Mrs. T-B. served chicken-&-carrot soup, ingest man.

Warshered/baked/folded stray load of blanket-type items, get it out of way man.

Took Nap #2, oversleep late TV news zzz man.

Dished the warsher, full load man.

Warshered/baked kitchen rags, full load man.

De-dish fold cat prep zzz man.

Happy Easter, Commie- and other babes with slowly-leaking-out +1 inventories!

We forgot to mention about Friday, ADD we man:

All cat's wrappers disappeared awhile back, furious cleaning by Mrs. T-B. she man.

Cat recently found one, obviously fished from deep under furniture miu man.

Cat joyously participated in vigorous 2-a.m. game with Daddy, we accommodate miu man.

Easter is about family and bunnies and chocolate!

I like the commercialized version and I'm sticking to it!

Canadian Trivia: Good Friday, not Easter Sunday, is the recognized holiday in Canada. But children still get Friday to Monday off school. In Alberta, they coincide this with spring break. Hence my kiddo visiting.
