Nope I would not be able to handle the what if!

Man, ask Gandalf, he's an engineer.

So, what are you supposed to do? replace them immediately?

(Of course the seat companies want you to replace it like the second you get into a collision)

in a low speed collision, those seats are fine for a few days.

Now you look at my Jew friend's car, his 1 and 2 year olds were in them. That's a harder collision, and those seats should be replaced ASAP.

and then the bank. Talk later.

Bring me something.....

Well, going down to talk to the manager, and then the bank. Talk later.

Make sure you ask the manager if he speaks English.

Back to Stretch, you have to think of the business aspects of child seat laws, and guidelines.

200 bucks times 50,000,000 babies/ kids, you do the math.

And they each have to buy 2-3-4 seats in their lives.

Do you know how much lobbying is going on here?

Hey if it's up to the baby seat companies, every time your car gets tapped when someone backs into you, you should junk those seats and replace them.

Just like the airbags.

There was like 100 air bags deployed in that collision with my Jew Friend. Do you have any idea the money involved? lol

If they had their way, there would be an expiration date because of potholes the vehicle was likely to go over.

I think car seats DO have expiration dates on them.

Man the baby seat industry isn't about safety, it's about money.

Yes they expire.

My seats would of been completely fine till they no longer needed seats. If the Carseat company won't back the seats after a crash then I don't want them. The insurance company won't take liability for them so they will be replaced.

When the NHTSA says they need replacing and not to use after a crash I listen. I don't care if they might be ok, yes we weren't the ones hit at 35mph and I really have no idea how hard we got hit but it was enough to need our bumper and towing package replaced. If we where another car it would have been worse.

Now if I was able to find two seats in the stores here that can fit in our truck side by side and one rear facing I would have bought them right away. But I can't so I ordered them.

I'm just saying here.....

Now pray tell, how is the insurance company supposed to know what seat your were using in your last collision?

How does the baby seat company know when their seat was in a crash if there's no damage?

So next time you drop these seats on the floor, you should replace them too.....the G-force of the impact will surely damage them....

And you can sell the old car seats at a garage sale!

Tark will buy them for a quarter lol

Hell Stretch, send them to me. I'll use them lol

They could have burst disks buried inside them. If they see too much force, the burst disks blow. But now how would they know they didn't go in the second accident and not the first? Electronic burst disks with date stamps?

nope they will be going to Toys R Us trade in event.

Well since the police reports are out there that the kids were in carseats and what not. I bet if they wanted to find that out they could look that up.

My bet would be the paper trail of when you got new seats vs crash dates.

Oh and some carseats don't need to be replaced after a minor crash. Depends on the company and the seat.

If they don't burst from being dropped on the floor from a tailgate, they wouldn't burst from a low speed collision.

No you gimme those seats now!

Well of course they burst then. That way the car seat maker can say it was in an accident already!

speaking of gimme, what ever became of Gump? I haven't heard mention of him since I've been back around. And before a week couldn't go by without a Gump story.
