Kiddo is here Thursday. She turns 13 tomorrow. Had her birthday party this weekend.

Made italian sausage, spicy red pepper, garlic sauce and rotini for supper. Hubs didn't like the italian sausage. Said something tasted like licorice. Now the only italian spice I know that tastes anything like licorice is fennel. So that means italian sausage for the most part is out. Funny part is, I used it in the stuffed peppers but because it was so little (1/4 lb) and mixed with the beef (1 lb) he didn't taste it at all! Said the stuffed peppers were fantastic. GO FIGURE!!!

I can't taste any of it especially now with a cold, but I also happen to like black licorice.

I don't care for the fennel, but I've never thought it tasted like black licorice before.

I don't like the sausage here at all. So much more fat then back home and I thought those were fatty before :(

Oh i won't touch the breakfast sausage. I bought turkey breakfast sausage here once, and just about threw up in my mouth. It was all I ate back in Canada! I rarely had bacon.

Oh man eating turkey sausage or bacon will kill you! Do you know what they have to do to turkey to make it into bacon. Better off eating the real stuff it's healthier and that is scary to think bacon is healthy :P

OMG if you had some of the kielbasa they sell around here you wouldn't call it that. When we go back up to Canada and I buy some of the kielbasa there it's it like eating a steak! So much better and that is not the fresh stuff my cousin makes. Oh man to get some of that good stuff for the Hillbilly would be awesome!

So it has been 5 weeks since I banged my foot and I went back to using it more normally this week but not overdoing it. I've got full range of motion back and it doesn't hurt to walk on, but I still feel like I've got a stone bruise on the side of the ball of my foot and my whole foot can feel really super cold (like the nerves are sending the wrong signal) when it is not cold at all. It is weird.
