I wasn't able to go out for long unless in a snowsuit. I'm pretty much allergic to the cold. I break out in hives and my blood pressure takes a nose dive. I also kept the house very warm

All that started when I was 18. No more swimming as the lakes never got warm enough.

So, I hope I am understanding this unemployment correctly. Last week was my husband's first week and there is no pay that week. This week he'd be eligible to be paid unemployment for, but as sort of a trial he's worked yesterday and today. He might work tomorrow too. It will be under 32 hours a week, but with today, it might or it might not be more than his unemployment benefit in dollars received. If it is less, then I think he gets 50% of the unemployment check, if more, then none.

What I'm not 100% clear on is if he works 2 or 3 days this week, he is still eligible to file next week if he doesn't work, right?

I'm pretty sure you're correct. Unemployment varies state to state though.
