Tiff said the nanny has a better offer in flushing NY. 14 bucks more a day for 2 hours less work...

Now, let's look at the logistics....

The nanny lives near me. And I give her a ride home. Flushing NY is an hour and a half by train. A monthly metrocard for the train is 180 bucks...

Her commuting time here is 10 minutes walk. Her commute time for flushing is 3 hours a day plus walking to and from the train. We buy her stuff here and there from BJ's. And I give her a little extra on the holidays.

She had said that she'd stay if we gave her the same pay. To me, she's being greedy. It's not like she's asking for a hundred dollar bump. She's asking for 300 extra a month. I told tiff to tell her, good luck in your new gig. I'm calling her bluff. My guess is, she'll be sick of the commute in a week, and her new boss will be sick of her noise in 2 days. Meantime, we'll need a new, quieter nanny...

In finance, a triple C is a credit rating of sorts, like a us treasury bond is a triple A. Canada is a doublel A, etc...

A "AAA" is better than a "AA", and so forth. A CCC is befitting for like...the Congo. "You ain't gettin'your money back B..."
