well if your boat isn't ready to fish, sounds like you need to go be a sissy.

But it begs the question, why isn't your boat ready for opener again?

Man I have to get the boat ready.....

Striped bass season starts like, today!

I'm a gettin' fishin' fever.....

Here's the dilemma....the new guy, is an avid fisherman (That's why we hired him). And has invited me to go fishing for Steelhead Salmon, up by the great lakes. But man, that season clashes with Striped bass.....

Do I go fling a fly like a sissy, or troll a Stretch..... (This Stretch)

To answer your question, land lubber.....

It is not that the boat isn't ready.....

It's a twin inboard. Very little winterization is required. It hasn't been started in a few months.

The salt water pumps, that pump water into the heat exchangers to cool the antifreeze are probably all mucky and . The salt water- cooled manifolds probably need a good flushing out.

The freshwater system (shower/ sinks) currently is flooded with windshield washer fluid, so that the impellers wouldn't break from expanding ice.

The emergency equipment will have to be looked at, such as the PFD's, the EPIRB and portable radio, flares, etc....

The boat is probably a terrible mess.....

the dock lines probably needs changing.

Is she fishible? yes.

Is she ship-shape? No.......

The rods and reels need a little upkeep as well. Such as changing out the trolling wire and fishing lines.

And, speaking of sissies, where's Darklar.....

It's nearing time to pick a new electric company, power to choose man.

We spent time this eve scoping rates on http://www.powertochoose.org , inspect man.

So far, we have narrowed things down to a total of Many companies, discernment man.

They offer the following comparative rates, see man:

Many.Many, Many.Many, or Many.Many cents/kWh for <Many kWh in monthly usage, see man; and

Many.Many, Many.Many, or Many.Many cents/kWh for Many-Many kWh in monthly usage, see man; and

Many.Many, Many.Many, or Many.Many cents/kWh for >Many kWh in monthly usage, see man.

This is quite a dilemma, as you can see man.

However, at least we have the Power to Choose, unlike Nueva York's monopoly, whee man.

Texas Many, Nueva York zero, yet again man.

Make sure the rates are steady. At least in CT, there was a company that offered lower than the regular power company at first, but then the rates got crazy expensive later.

We are stuck with ours because our town provides electric, water, trash, and gas.

1- those "other" companies, will usually end up costing more, due to the "Delivery charge". Which is what the incumbency company charges them to use their lines....

2- That's communism! (But you like that, don't you.....)

I like communism.

Communism- you don't work, you don't eat.

Socialism- You don't work, you eat someone else's food......
