And that, my dear, has gotta be the most confusing post in the history of mankind on VJ....

Whadahela you talkin' bout....

she's not talking to you, you're not her real internet friend

That's more confusing than..

A marklar bumps into a marklar. The marklar said to the marklar, "excuse me, why don't you watch where you're marklar markling...you marklan marklar"...

her friends didn't dance, and if they don't dance, then they're not friends of mine

I carry my phone in my purse. It's too big to be carried in my back pocket. Especially when I put it in its case to keep it safe.

I'm not used to carry it on me.

Asia is smart, she protects her phone, smart Asia.

My wife complained because I demanded she have some protection for her phone. She always complains it makes her phone too big. Then when the iPhone plus came out, guess who had to have an iPhone Plus? BTW she'd tell me she'd be so careful with the phone too, never dropping it etc... But 2 or 3 times a year I have to replace her case or bumper because its nicked up from being dropped.

I used to use an otter box, but now I like the Pelican case better. Its not quite as water proof, but I found the rubber on the otter box shortly starts not sealing well at the charging port, which kills its water proof ability. The Pelican case's flap to the charging port reseals easily and takes a long time to fail. So unless you're replacing your otter box every couple months, you get better protection from the Pelican case. Which I only need to replace yearly.

So, Honda Financial mistakenly deducted 2 payments over 2 days for my lease.

I log on to their site, and I get a big blue message that says they're aware that a nigh volume of accounts were billed twice this month. And their phone lines are ringing off the hook. And they're working on identifying and refunding those accounts.

That'll teach me to have automatic deductions from them huh?

Now I have to go back a year and a half to make sure they didn't bill me more than they should have.

I never trust automatic deductions that are not under my control. I have accounts that would love to be able to automatically take their payment from my account. Instead if there is an automatic payment, its one I configure and control in my bank account. Now Honda will drag their feet and take 2 months to return it, but still expect you to make next months payment

I had that remember? Last year.

My bank did it right, but Santander screwed up and credited the wrong account.

Well that shouldn't have been your problem them. Tell them to get a better bank. What if you sent them a check and their bank put it in the wrong account? Would that be your fault too? Better yet, dump the Honda and get another car. Never use that dealer again.

They bought my mortgage. Duh!

Actually, if you look around, Santander is OK. A little deficient in service, but great for everything else.

A Chile company. And, Chile is all right.....

(Probably because of the German/ Nazi/ Japanese influence)

You weren't here, numb nut.

My bank paid Santander.

Santander credited the wrong account.

Next thing I know, I was almost 30 days late.

My bank straightened it out.

They sent me a letter of apology.

then what were you complaining about! at least your bank wasn't taking 2 months out of your account. Now you need to straighten it out, and they likely not going to be in a hurry to return your money.

Santander probably regularly makes these mistakes so they can sit on other people's money.

Honda financial is one of the better ones, they'll probably get on it pretty fast.

For me it's only a buck fiddy. But times that by 100,000, and it's 15 mil....

Interest for one day....

exactly! Companies pull that kind of stuff all the time. Might just be a small amount on people, but with enough clients it adds up to a huge amount of money sitting in their pocket every day. AT&T pulled that will sales tax on their cell phone service. They were charging sales tax on the bills here, for something they did not have to pay the state sales tax on. Even though the state informed them, they kept this practice up for years as they fought the state saying they should charge it. How they justified it when then charged for it, but never paid it is beyond me. But eventually they had to return that money to their clients in an agreement where they didn't have to admit wrong doing of course. But they were able to sit on millions of dollars for years and even continued to collect it.
