Duh!

Well you said if like "Mike winters in Florida". Not many people pick a colder location to winter in, unless its to ski.

I'd winter in Sweden or New Hampshire. I like snow and trees.

but both are warmer than where you live now.

I'd winter in the Philippines, or any tropical location with beaches.

Depends on the day, as a whole, though, yes. I do miss trees, mountains (or even hills), and the ocean. I guess that is why there are better economic opportunities here than somewhere more desirable.

Well if you move to a very desirable location, odds are there are too many other people searching for work there too. Kind of like Florida and California, too many people for too few jobs because people move there to have warm weather and ocean. They think about if they can find a decent job second.

I'd totally move back to BC, even in winter. I agree with nola, nothing is more beautiful than snow covered trees in winter; especially when the sun is shining and they sparkle. I'd never move back to Alberta for the same reason though. Winter lasts too long and is too cold. I like spring in May, not spring in late June! Even my mom heads off the mountain for most of the summer to her lake lot. She's decided that snow in August is just not much fun! Lol.

To me nothing is more beautiful than palm trees, a calm placid ocean, white sand beaches and coral reefs. Maybe when I've been there long enough I'll miss snow covered trees.

I like winter. I do like beaches though. Who knows the next time Ill be at one since hubs hates the beach.

Maybe next time im in Canada, in the summer. Id like to go this summer. Mom has a sailboat Ive never been on. She bought a used one and fixed it up after my grandpa passed away.

I wonder if my dad is still alive...

Well they've got mountains in the Philippines too, but they do sometimes spew out ash and lava and you they never get snow on them. Still they're a nice get away if you want some cooler temperatures for a while. Went to resort on a more active volcano once too. They had all these hot springs they diverted to make hot tubs out of. You controlled the temperature of your hot tub by how many small stones you put in the path of the ministream that fed by it. Less stones and more very hot water poured into your tub.

I wonder if Tark is still alive...

Is Tark Nikki's father?

That sounds cool!

In Hawaii it's definitely cooler on the mountains too. Ive been trying to convince the kiddo to come down here before she's 18 so that I can give her citizenship after I get it. I let her know she can then live in Hawaii, her favourite place!
