My partner's father wants to sponsor us for the K1 and AoS processes..

He makes >$200k annually but is bad with his money, such that he (apparently) doesn't have anything in savings and regularly runs out of money before his next paycheck.

So despite having enough of an income to be eligible to sponsor, is he really a viable option for us or will we get denied?

Also, assuming we go down the joint sponsor route, do both my partner and her father need to fill in, sign and send off separate I-134 forms?

FYI, I'm in the UK and hoping to move to the US.

Thanks!

It doesn't matter if he spends all his money and has no savings -- they look at annual total income which is more than enough in this case. I believe for the London embassy, you'll only need the I134 & financial evidence from the co-sponsor.

agree with what has been said previously. My only doubt is about the sponsor and co-sponsor signing their own I-134s. In my consulate it was mandatory for both of them to fill it, even if in the end they would only pay attention to the co-sponsor's. You can contact the london consulate directly and ask what are THEIR requirements for it.

It is okay with London. People have done it and reported so in the UK forum of VJ. That's for the I-134. Spouses with the I-864 have different rules.
