Just got our case number from NVC. This is a K-1 Visa. Is there anything that can be done at this point to make this process go quicker? Can payment be made via BPI for the application fee? Can medical and interview be scheduled? It will obviously take a week or two to arrive in Manila. And that darn DFA agency is giving us a fit about her Passport. We've been trying since January to get a passport. So frustrating!

With the case number, you can pay the fee and schedule the interview. She can preregister for the medical, but unless something has changed, you cannot schedule a medical date. You just jump ahead of all the people who did not preregister with St Lukes extension on the day you chose to go.

Does she need her passport to do all this? Interview and medical? DS-160? Can she do all this stuff in parallel without the passport? The DFA people are being regimented and uncooperative and unless one is completely on top of the game you get pushed to the back of the line. Original DFA appointment Jan 29th. New DFA appointment April 5th! urgggh!

Yes she will need a passport to complete the DS160. They rest I do not know because I don't know what embassy you are dealing with. However, I do believe you need a passport for the medical.exam, at least in JA you do.
