I think the government lost my i-129f form help!

Hello everyone! I am currently living and working in South Korea. My fiance is a Korean and we decided to get engaged but cannot marry in Korea. So we decided to go the alien fiance route. I finished the whole i-129f form and all the other ones associated with it. I also filled out the G-1145 form, so I could be notified once they got my files and how the process was going. I mailed the documents on January 15th to the Texas homeland security office. I then received this email;

"Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS California Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number ****************. With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your case using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status.

This confirmation provides notification of the date USCIS received your case. This notice does NOT grant any immigration status or benefit. You MAY NOT present this notice as evidence that you have been granted any immigration status or benefit. Further, this notice does NOT constitute evidence that your case remains pending with USCIS. The current status of your case must be verified with USCIS."

I checked the status at the website and it's just that they received the document. I have not received anything in the mail that I can tell. Any suggestions on how to proceed would be nice.

You did not received anything through email? If your declared address is in Korea, your NOA 1 may take a while through postal service or the mail was lost in transition.

Contact USCIS; NOA 1 is not as important as NOA 2; it is a must your receive NOA 2. So provide USCIS a US mailing address instead if possible.

I am unclear what makes you think they lost your form? Processing of a K1 from filing to interview is about 6 months, so there is plenty of time.

It sounds more likely that the paper receipt is taking a long time to get to you (how reliable is mail where you live?), or indeed that the receipt is lost.

The main problem is I have not received a NOA yet. It has me worried. I have my parents registered as the in-care of address within the United States, because I was worried it would be difficult for them to get the address right on my Korean home. But I have not received anything from them nor have my parents.

Should I call the 1-800 number listed on the USIC website and reaffirm the address they have are the correct ones?
