My fiance works in Saudi Arabia, she is from the Philippines. She obtained her police certificate, because she is resigning from her job to go back home. The Saudia Arabia authorities requires for all foreign workers to get a police certificate before leaving Saudia Arabia. I have filed a K-1 Fiance Visa Petition and one of the documents that the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines will need is a certified police certificate of he country the person has been in for 6 months.

QUESTION: Can my fiance use the criminal record certificate from Saudi that she has now for the as one of the documents the U.S. Embassy will need in the Philippines?

The process for her that in January of this year, was since she was scheduled to resign effective March 31, 2016. They told her in January that she had to obtain her police certificate in January. So she did just that. She told me that they would not give another one because they had required her to get two to three months before leaving Saudi. We already know that once she leave Saudi the chances of getting a new one is 0%, but as I said, she has to follow their requirements in Saudi. Overall I think the one she has is good.

Yup she can use it, the embassy will be amazed, maybe even impressed to see it. Saudi is a waiver country as you have to apply in country to get the police clearance so the Department of State waives the requirement.

"Police clearances are unavailable for third country nationals who no longer reside in the Kingdom."
