Hello.

I know this is a question about Turkey Visa and this is a US immigration website, however, I thought there might be someone knowledgeable here who may be able to help me. I have received the USA CR-1 visa and I plan to travel soon to enter US but on the way, we want to stop over in turkey for a few days for holidays. Turkey grants e-visa for Pakistanis who hold valid schengen visa, UK, USA or Ireland visa or permanent residence.

I was about to book my flight to USA with a stopover in turkey for a few days, I just wanted to make sure that I'll be able to enter Turkey based on the e-visa. Does anyone have any experience with that?

you can apply for evisa for Turkey, if they grant you, which most likely they will ,yes you will be able to enter Turkey.

you have immigrant visa or not, green card or not, it has no effect, because you hold Pakistani passport, you are Pakistani national.

My brother-in-law US citizen, wife Pakistani citizen, both applied e-visa they got it, my brother in law could have gotten the visa on arrival too, just because he is US national, but he applied with his wife.

they are going for Umrah, on their way back they want to go Ankara and see Blue Mosque.

Nice.

I'm guessing your brother in law's wife is a US resident. I want to know if I can get the e-visa as I am technically not US resident yet but I have a valid US visa.

yes she is permanent resident, but as I said earlier it means nothing other to countries, green card has no value to them ,you are treated based on the passport you hold. green card is only good for USA.

Only country does not require visa if you have green card is Canada.

yes Pakistani nationals can apply e-visa.

You have to apply in advance as the visa in not on your passport yet.

Good luck.
