Hello, everyone. My husband and I got in a heated argument last night and our nosy neighbors called the cops. The cops were wondering if I had been physically hurt by him and I insisted that I wasn't but it was just an argument. They looked at his work authorization card. It didn't appear that they took any info down but what can I expect? Can they deport him for suspicion of abuse? Are they going to notify the apartments? Has anyone experienced anything like this before. Please and thank you

In some states the police can file a domestic abuse incident but in North Carolina they can't

It would be up to you to file a complaint and since you didn't, there is nothing to report to immigration

your neighbors, however, can file complaint to the landlord

Thank you so much! Can the police notify the apartments or do they typically or would it just be the neighbors? I really appreciate your help!

Doubt the cops would notify anyone. More likely it will be the neighbors.
