I need some reassurance. We filed a petition to remove conditions for his Green card end of June 2015. Due to the careless postal mail delivery person in our neighborhood, we didn't get his biometric letter until a few days AFTER the date that was scheduled for which was sometime in July 2015. The good thing is that I called them and the customer service woman was really nice and reassuring that it wasn't a big deal and will get another biometric date in August. Sure enough, this time we got the letter for a biometric date of August 20, 2015. He got it done and since then, nothing what-so-ever was there any correspondence or update posted online. I checked on their website to get both text and email notification for this petition.

If we count August 2016 after doing the biometric, we are going on our 7th month. But if I counted when we submitted the petition and their last online recorded date which was June 25, 2015, it would be going on our 9th month. NO RFE either. Of course, his 1 year extension doesn't expire until Sept. 2016. But it's a long time without a peep/anything!

This evening, I just put in an USCIS service request (email inquiry) about this and I did get an automatic email confirmation saying they will reply by March 28, 2016.

I've seen the other VJ people's timelines for i-751 ROC especially for June 2015 and majority of the folks got their approval for their green card. Even the people in July 2015 i-751 ROC have seen approvals too.

So just want to hear some reassurance and/or comments, is this normal? Hmmmmm!

It's not unusual to wait as long as you have. They have up to a year to process your ROC petition, and from what I've seen some cases just take longer than others.

If you are planning on filing for citizenship under the 3-year rule, that window should be opening for you soon. I've read that people who are still waiting for ROC can help move it along by applying for citizenship.

Good luck!

We waited and waited after his biometrics then 8 months later I called and the rep, seeing the length of time transferred me to a tier two person (actual officer) without me asking. In hindsight, this got the ball rolling.... in the mail we were notified for an interview here in S.D. downtown. As through all this journey...We were just special .

After the interview at the federal building we were approved. IT took them a YEAR to finally make their decision and give my SO his 10 year. So my point for all this is...be proactive and dont wait. I asked the interviewing officer what does she think, Y it took so long? She really only could guess that they had a few questions about our case( that she cleared up) but somehow no one followed through so it sat somewhere in the Laguna office until I called.

Stay on it GF.
