I've been doing a lot of research on here in preparation of sending off my i-129 but theres a few things that i have worries about!

For the i-846 forum, this is my main worry, I'm completely new to taxes so i hope i list this correctly. The most current year, i have filed and received around 16k. This year i am going to be making over the 125%. I will have an employee letter stating the amount i make, but ( sorry if this is silly) Am i able to send in the projected amount and have it count as being able to support my UK fiance? If i am, how do i go about this, im not sure what i would request, and if so would it be from my works accountant? ( my past 3 years have been under the 125% this year will not be )

hi

if you are filing the K1, then the i864 is not the affidavit of support that you will be filing for your fiancé to have at the interview

the i864 is for adjustment of status once you marry and file the adjustment of status packet

the affidavit of support for the K1 is the i134

if your fiancé has the interview next year, then it won't be a problem because 2016 will be Ok, if not, then you might need a joint sponsor or assets

Sorry i meant for the AOS, I was going to ask multiple questions but i believed i had the answer to the other one.

The i-134 for London just requires a employee letter stating that i make money to support him. I was told.

So the projected amount for 2016 wouldn't be enough for them, even if my employee stated how much i would make? As far as assets go, is there a certain amount above what i'm missing needs? So if it says im making 16k, i need another 4,020 if i have that in my savings/checkings am i safe or do i need to double/triple it?

For the I-864 for AOS, you will need most recent tax transcript and evidence of current annual income, which would be letter from employer and/or recent pay stubs. Yes, you calculate how much you currently earn annually, so what you make a week before taxes times 52, or bi-weekly times 26. That will be the current annual income you would list.

If you were short on income and needed to use assets, they would need to be at 3 times the amount you are short.

Okay thank you very much! Is there anywhere you can link me where it says that it would be before taxes? I'm just not sure what to search to find that

The instructions do not state it outright when talking about the current annual income, but states it when talking about self-employment. Total income is what you list from your last 3 years of taxes, and it is gross income. That is about all I can tell you, other than if you search the net about it, you will find lawyers telling people gross income is what you need as well.

Page 8 > https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864instr.pdf

For purposes of this affidavit, the line for Total Income on IRS Forms 1040 and 1040A will be considered when
determining income. For persons filing IRS Form 1040 EZ, the line for adjusted gross income will be considered.
