Donald Trump Zeroes in on Disney Layoffs in Bashing Guest Worker Visas

I believe there is to much abuse. We need to decrease the number of these visa issued each year.

We went to a water park in Wisconsin this summer. The majority of workers were foreign. Seems they each had two jobs and were working 12-16 hours a day ,6 days a week. The water park basically had them hostage.

There's too much abuse on k1 and I 130 too. I guess you want that number reduced as well?

The H1B is for skilled specialty workers. Where would you see H1B workers at a water park?

There's a lot of eye-opening reading in the Tourist Visas and Work Visas forums...

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I've noticed a theme with the "former CO's" that have joined the site over the years. I don't get the attitude they bring here, and I don't get why. I don't suffer arrogance and condescension by choice. I've had to deal with enough of the scrutiny and mistrust of these guy's in real life.

Anyone who claims to be an ex-CO seems to automatically get a lot of latitude to post whatever they want. While it may be informative, it's not really helpful. I've never seen one of them come on here to be helpful. If you don't need immigration help and your not giving immigration help, I'm not sure why you join an immigration help site.

Illegal Immigrants to Build Trump Tower

And that's not even the worst part.

3:31 PM, FEB 26, 2016 | By SHOSHANA WEISSMANN

During Thursday night's Republican presidential debate, Marco Rubio repeatedly attacked Donald Trump for his use of illegal immigrant labor to build Trump Tower.

A clip from "Trump: What's The Deal?" explains more.

"The building of Trump Tower was the true art of the deal," says the narrator. "Saving money was the key."

"Chapter 1: hire the cheapest demolition contractor you can find, even though he has little experience. Trump hired William Kaszycki, whose principal business was window-washing. Kaszycki in turn hired what became known as the 'Polish Brigade.' More than 200 immigrants with no working papers, who were paid 1/3 the union rate, and worked under difficult conditions."

A former labor negotiator for the Trump organization added that the workers "had no protective equipment, all the OSHA requirements were being ignored. They had no masks, they had no gloves. They were stripping wires with their bare handshot electrical wires."

He needs a stock of potential future exes.

I agree he has to many exes. Not a quality that I admire. However, what is amazing is that his exes all speak very highly of him.

Give me $50 million and I'll say a few nice things about him too.

Thats one of the best things about Trump. The lobbyist are fearful that they can't buy his vote. He has self funded his campaign and he is not in "debt" to anyone. Look how many politicians get elected on their so call principals and then when they get elected they have to pay back the "debt" by voting a certain way.

Same thing could happen to Trump…but much less likely. He has an ego ,but he also wants to make this country great again. When politicians are bought and paid for one can understand the mess we are in.
