I have read every available resource regarding the topic and am still a little confused. I entered on a B2 and did not have a full medical exam. However, I do have my Jamiacan immunization records and have recieved a full medical workup (bloodwork, no immunizations) since being in the US. According the UCSIS site, I can wait to submit the I693, "To ensure the results of the medical examination are still valid at the time USCIS adjudicates the associated benefit application, applicants should schedule the medical examination as close as possible to the time they file for adjustment of status, respond to a Request for Evidence, or attend an interview (if applicable)."

However, the I-485 instructions state to "include the I-693 unless you are a refugee", which I am not.

We want to submit by the end of the week but if we have to wait on a civil surgeon appointment and a completed form I-693 that will push our self-imposed deadline. WHAT DO I DO???

You need to include it. The part that's relevant to you from that text is that you should time it close to filing. Then include it in your filing.

Most people send their I-693 together when filing concurrently, however; you can still take the sealed envelope from your civil surgeon on the day of your interview.
