I guess the question is whether Ancient Greek civilisation declined because of 'loose morals'. I'm not sure that it did...

i think it declined due to the invasion by other armies and the greeks internal fighting..

You decided that I don't believe in individual freedom, which means that you attempted to usurp my freedom to define myself. I believe in setting up boundaries and in limits to individual freedom, which does not preclude individual freedom, but does limit it because, not doing so eliminates freedom for anyone.

I agree that, for example, Rome’s social practices evolved somewhat over time, but I’m not sure you can say with any conviction that hedonism brought about the downfall of the empire (east and west). That would seem to be a bit of simplification.
