My parents are hard corps Republicans and, in a word, they are freaking out. The Trumpmeister does not have them in his pocket. After last night's debacle of a debate I am not sure they will even vote this election.

Herr Trumpmeister speaks to the fringe of the fringe and I just don't see him not getting the Republican nod to run but then beating Hilary Clinton.

The Republicans are screwed. If they take Trump down they lose all the Trump fan support. If he gets the nomination he can't answer any questions, Palin comes to mind, and real Americans aren't going to let this fly. If he wins the election, etc world will see how racist, stupid and bigoted he is as well as will look at the u.s. side eyed because we elected him.

I think we are going to see an election with votes for Hilary against Trump and votes for Trump against Hilary. Wouldnt be surprised if this is the lowest turnout in decades.

Trump is nowhere near as bad as Palin, though. As for trump fan support if they can get rid of him in the proper way republicans will stick with the winner, but if he ends up with a substantial lead among others and the convention pushes him out yeah a lot of supporters won't go for that and it will hurt them in the general.

The proper thing for the republicans to do is go back in time, buy off people like cruz because he can never carry the general, and have less competition dividing non-trump votes.

I don't think he can keep up the charade for another eight months. I was already getting emails joking about his hair last week from a guy who said he'd have to vote for Trump if it's him vs hillary but the thing is this person is already making fun of the guy. Half year between apparent nomination and general I think by the end of it now trump will be beaten down into nothing but late night comedy material in ways bush could only have dreamed of.

But, we've been wrong before. It's too bad the party is going for cruz, I think he won't take any moderates. Republicans will throw another election by the look of it.

If the Dems nominated a hot sassy chick who likes guns she would own the election. That is a little sexist but it is true. Hillary is everything a guy doesn't want in a woman from a feminine perspective. Every guy who has a b****y mother or a cold wife is viscerally turned off from her.

Dude, totally sexist idea. Be hot and love guns? ? So no brain and no idea about IR and politics and she can be President? We fumbled with an idea like that with Palin and AMerica picked Obama.
