Hi everyone,

We had our CR1 interview yesterday. No questions asked by the Korean Consul ( could be Chinese, not sure). Just the usual name and birthday. Then we (me and my son) were asked to go to step 5 for additional instructions.

We found out that we needed another copy of the I-864 of our joint sponsor with original signature for my son and proof of domicile.

For proof of domicile, we showed them my husband's (Petitioner) drivers license, credit card statement, letter for jury duty with the same address. We were asked to submit other documents as proof of domicile. The lady at step 5 mentioned air ticket to the US will do.

Anyone have an idea of what other documents we can submit as proof of domicile?

How long does it take to get the passport back after submitting the required documents? Does it mean its approved after submitting required documents?

I work in Singapore and I cannot go back without my passport. Might lose my job if I stated here for too long.

Thank you all.

You were interviewed at USEM Manila?

You should also check your email (and spam filter) as USEM will email your 221g listing exactly what is required.

Don't forget CFO as you can't leave the Philippines without it.

Do you have tax forms? That should prove your domicile without question.

For our interview next week I do have the I864s and an I864A. They contain mine and the co sponsors signature but seeing as the petitioner is not required to be at the interview it is not necessary for me to sign in front of anyone. I did include a copy of my drivers license and a copy of our joint sponsors drivers license for good measure. The USA residence is also listed on both of our tax forms.

My husband submitted his last 3 years tax form, last time he filed was 2012, he was here 2013 until now. Letter of non filing of tax. We submitted all documents we can think of with his address (USA) on it but Consul is giving us a hard time and asking for an airticket. Hope you dont get to be interviewed by the same Consul that we had. She did not smile. No greeting. Just faced ger pc and asked us to proceed with step 5.

Wow, yes I do hope we do not get that officer! Maybe she was having a bad day.

I guess she may figure since your husband has been here for so long that he may not have a USA residence any more. Good luck getting everything squared away.

Maybe a couple affidavits from family in the USA would work?
