Hi,

I had similar experience. The CO gave me the 221G letter, kept my passport and did not request any additional documents from me. He just told me to wait and "everything is ok" after the interview was over.

The AP lasted for a couple of weeks. Hopefully yours won't be longer than that

OP they kept your passport which is a positive sign and told you, you are on/in AP.

What was marked on the 221 paper?

So far is sounds like you have yet to be denied and "discriminated" against.

I asked her is this an approval she said no,what does that mean?

"Not approved" is not the same thing as "Denied". So unless she clearly said you were denied they are either just going to have to do some more checking and you may be approved later or you have to send something in. Since you seem to indicate your 221g doesn't request any additional information from you then it's probably the first thing.

Keep an eye on your case status as well as the mail and your email. The fact that they kept your passport is a good sign.

I thought they kept your passport. Did the consulate call you back to come get your passport? Is the message about sending it back what you see on CEAC? Where did you see that message?

Yes they have called to come but they didn't say why. When I got there they gave me my passport back and that letter

Sounds like they don't believe you, that it will go back to uscis. I think k1 will just expire and you may have to take cr1 route. This is what I meant about morrocco right now on k1 visas.

the visa process is a roller coaster ride of highs and lows, the 221G means they need additional info and they should have told your fiance what is needed. we got a 221G for an original birth certificate, we submitted it and 2 weeks later got the issued status but this was after i sent them an email inquiring what was going on. i believe that if i had not sent the email we would still be waiting because we got our issued status the day after i sent the email and 2 days later the visa arrived at my fiances home

i believe your visa is approved pending submission of documents they are requesting

No they didn't ask for any additional informations,all they said your visa needs to sent back for further review,the embassy called after 2 days from the interview. I had sent a letter to them it was direct little bit and I said we are being discriminated against,and after one day I got a call from them telling me to go back there on Monday(yesterday) I went there and that's when she told me your case is sent back. And it wasn't a second shot or an interview, it just noticed me that my case is sent back and I may consider reapplying or do cr1.
