Pictures? For the CRBA? You think the embassies would have the same rules! Pictures and passport would have made things really easy lol But Stockholm was very strict and followed everything to a T. But this was 4 years ago....maybe they have loosened up since lol

With my boy all we did was passport´s and pictures.

So i will think they are doing mostly the same again.

What they/you did with your son may not be enough for your daughter. The law that will be applied to them is different. Your son was born out of wedlock to a US citizen mother. There are countries that would not recognize the citizenship of a child born in their country because citizenship is transmitted through the father. Because US lawmakers did not want to create "stateless" children (i.e., ones that did not qualify for citizenship anywhere in the world), the law is more generous on transmitting citizenship in this case. Your wife only had to show one continuous year (i.e., a continuous 12 months) f physical presence in the US at any time in her life.

AS your daughter was born in wedlock, your wife had to show more physical presence (5 years, 2 after she -- your wife -- was 14; all of the years had to be before your daughter was born). Hopefully you have a lawyer experienced in this area of the law who knows this distinction and won't mess up your case. If one of the maternal grandparents meet the 5 year requirement, you can also gain citizenship through them. Again, hopefully your lawyer knows all this and is giving you proper guidance.

This is the N-600K process which is naturalization for children residing abroad. The OP's child is in the US, and Adjustment of Status is the best way to get the child citizenship if she doesn't have it already.
