Hello Good People,

I have a question if any one wants to help me with some information, knowledge or experience,

Back in 2010 I applied for F2B visa through my mother,

In 2012 I moved to US through F1 and still I'm studying and working with CPT.

So couple of weeks a go I got an email from NVC that my priority date has become current,

when I call NVC they told me to reach out to USCIS, then I made some research and figured out that I have to file some forms and send it to USCIS (i-485 and some related documents)

But now even if I have subscribed for email and text notification its been nearly 10 days I didn't hear anything from USCIS, the check that I sent is not cleared yet either.

Any advise what I should do or how long should I wait to get the receipt notification?

You need to call both USCIS and NVC to let them know you are here in the States so you can have an interview here. Otherwise, they will forward your case to embassy or consulate in your country to proceed with your interview.

Thanks for the response but I already applied for adjustment of status to USCIS, What else should I do?

At AOS interview, they might not be able to approve it because your case has been forward to consulate/embassy. So keep contacting NVC to make sure your case is not forwarded to your country. Good luck.

It can take up to 30 days to receive receipt notifications from USCIS.

USCIS will themselves request the approved I-130 back from the NVC, provided you enclosed a copy of the I-130 approval notice with your I-485.
