still 221g, no call, no email, ceac still says "ready" never said in AP , last update was may 8 assuming the update was because my lawyer sent them an email.

Talked to my lawyer today, he feels AIT works slow and has suggested we transfer the case to the Philippines. He talked to the Manila embassy and they said they can request the transfer once my fiancé agrees and then we move the case to Manila, he seems to think it would be better that they process their own citizen and be done with AIT. 

 

Administrative Processing is a line of #######, payments are made and decisions need to be made at the time of interview, if an applicate provides all documentation required then the process needs to be handled in a timely manner, AP=Black Hole

 

Tomorrow the 11th was to be our wedding day on our 1yr anniversary.

wow I am sorry to hear that but at the same time sounds like you may get better results having it transferred. Have you done a search on transfers here and read about other people’s experience? I agree the “AP” is a black hole and we feel so blessed to have the interview April 5 to 221G to Visa in transit at 2GO all within 37 days. Despite my negligence our prayers were answered thank you Lord! This journey is not for the faint of heart, although my fiancé and i became so much closer in the last 37 days so it was a blessing. You are both in our prayers and I hope all goes well and please keep us posted if you can.

I just noticed your status as " K1 visa " so you just said your marriage is 1st anniversary tomorrow? After 2nd year marriage, your spouse will be granted for 10 years green card instead of two. Hope everything goes smooth after the transfer. That sucks I know

sorry, should have said it better, meant to say tomorrow we were going to get married which is our 1yr anniversary since we met, (dating 1 yr) . we are not married, cant marry under k1,  which is why we applied k1. interview was the 30th, got 221g so that AP through a wrench in our plan to get married on the 11th

I must be misunderstood reading too fast. How long 221g been on since? I'm sure they're reviewing the case still. Fingers crossed you get the answer soon!

that's just it, they gave 221g but didn't ask for additional documents, they asked her 3 times has she been to usa and all 3 times is no. so Monday is 2 weeks since the interview, they even told her someone will call you in a couple of days , no call, no email, was a lie to her. they want you to tell the truth but they are allowed to lie to the applicant?

latest, talking with my fiancé now. we decided that she will leave Taiwan on the 20th, if AIT doesn't call her or email us by Friday next week then she leaves sunday and we transfer the case to manila.

Booked her flight from Taiwan to manila just now, so if no contact from AIT by next Friday I get to change my Taiwan flag under my profile to Philippines  because Manila will request the case transfer from AIT to them.

Any ideas how long that transfer will take? My 221G took two weeks after they received the requested documents. I can relate to your stress to a certain degree as the AP made me absolutely crazy, depressed and left me with a feeling of hopelessness. However I think repeated calls and emails will and should help? Just wondering if the added time would have been the same or if not add additional delays to your case with the transfer 🤔? You are still within the similar timeline as us with the 221G so I was just thinking. Anyway keep the faith and although an unfortunate delay, nonetheless it’s better than a denial. Good luck brother and we are praying for your expedited approval.

We planned on getting Married on April 15 our anniversary, set our appointment to April 5 and we too fell victim to the 221G dreaded outcome 😪. So many of us here I guess suffer similar disappointing set backs

Transferring case files can take a few weeks to a month or more from when the beneficiary contacts the embassy to request the transfer.

yeah but AIT isn't doing anything, why give her a 221g and not request any documents?? no explanation, nothing but left in the dark which isn't right. Today was a case update, ceac still shows "ready" and not showing its even in AP. so yeah, at least if nothing happens this week then Friday our lawyer will do the request to transfer to manila so at least Manila will be processing their own citizen. 

she had ALL the required documents and proof of relationship and still issued 221g and the 221g doesn't even list any additional or missing documents needed, only says "no action required at this time" so if no action is needed and all documents were submitted and visa fee paid based on an approved petition then why the hell not issue the k1! so ticked right now about this.

That  you are aware of ... yet there is activity with the file .. so something is being done.     Most likely investigating the entries into the USA .. wasn't that the issue the embassy had?

Since you do not really know the main issue, you could be simply transferring the problem from one place to another and end up in the situation with the additional party gift of additional time for transfer and file review in Manila.
