My son lives in England and his fiancée lives here in Florida. She is about to send off the I-129f forms. If my son comes to Florida in between her sending off the I-129f and the visa being granted will he have to return to England to go to the American Embassy in London or can he complete what he needs to do here in America? Many thanks for your help in this matter.

Incorrect, he needs to return to England when his authorized stay is complete, typically 90 days on ESTA. This will likely be LONG before the medical and interview.

good luck

A visa is a document obtained outside the US that allows you to seek entry into the US.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Hi,

I visited my fiancè (now husband) in Texas when the I-129F was pending. I came back to Indonesia as scheduled, and had to do medical and interview there. Your son needs to come back to UK, and follow through with the process once the petition is approved, he cannot proceed in the USA. Hope this helps
