What?? That is terrible :( You should contract your congressman and have them look into your case. You are definitely outside of the normal processing time - I would get someone involved.

I'm so sorry you're in this situation. I hope you get your approval soon.

Is there any of you guys with NOA1 date from March and isn't approved yet?? My NOA1 date is March 9 and still no NOA2, most of the users I see are already approved, even though the USCIS website updated on their processing time that they're working on March 2nd this last September 15th. I would like to know if there's any others also going through the same :(

Hello VJ friends!

We got our NOA1 on March 9th, 2016 and still nothing :cry:

Our file is at Nebraska Service Center, it's been almost 6 months, some of the other VJ members already got their NOA2 and filled before us, I wonder why this happens? This is the most frustrating wait guys!

Did u get any update about your NOA2?

My PD is March 23th and Im still waiting... :(

Yes I was march 24th and got NOA2 from Nebraska on 3rd august. Currently part way through the NVC process... took 5 weeks from NOA2 til getting a case number

Got married: 26th Sep 2013 

I-130 Petition Process:

Sent petition to USCIS Chicago lockbox (via in-laws to put check in US$): 11 Mar, 2016

NOA1: 24 Mar, 2016 (email notification 30 Mar. Hardcopy 11 Apr)

Service Centre: NEBRASKA

NOA2: 3rd Aug 2016

Petition sent to NVC: 18th Aug 2016

NVC Stage

Case number assigned: 8th Sep 2016

Paid AOS Fee: 9th Sep 2016

Paid IV Fee: 14th Sep 2016

DS-260 submitted: 25th Jan 2017

AOS & IV Package sent: 25th Jan 2017

Expedite requested: 25th Jan 2017

Expedite approved (consulate only): 1st Feb 2017

Scan Date: 31st Jan 2017

Case Complete: 14th April 2017 (10 weeks 4 days)

Full expedite approved (bypass NVC to send file to embassy), however too late as I already had case complete 17th Apr 2017

Case arrived at Embassy: 21st April 2017

P4 letter received: 26th April 2017 (expedite at embassy stage so this came from the consulate, not NVC)

Medical date: 26th April 2017

Interview date: 4th May 2017 APPROVED!!

Visa received: 8th May 2017

Sent I-130 to Chicago from abroad. Good luck to all March filers!

We have the same NVC scan date. I got an email the other day saying they were missing our ds-260. When I called they said it was a mistake but 30 days in and still no approval. Have you gotten approved yet?

You should definitely call them and insist something is wrong. I was at Nebraska center too NOA March 11 NOA July 22. Also, once 5 months has passed your allowed to call and complain. Call!

Call them. They will have received the physical file but you won't have a case number yet. They don't notify you that they have received it until after the case number has been generated.

Good Morning ,

How many March fillers are still waiting for I-130 approval ? My PD is March 29th. Spoke to Tier 2 supervisor this morning and he said " YOU'RE STILL WITHIN THE PROCESSING TIME AS NEBRASKA IS PROCESSING CASES FROM MARCH 2ND " which I know is a COMPLETE lie . I have a friend who filled in May and had her approval two weeks ago. I am so upset . I don't know what to do. He won't open a service request for me . He said to call back in 45 days and he will open one but, right now I have to WAIT.

I filed in mid-April and received a very exact answer by doing a congressional inquiry. You should try it.

04/19/16 PD - NOA1 (Potomac Service Center)

07/13/16 Transferred to National Benefits Center to "speed up" processing

08/06/16 Transferred to Local Field Office (Philadelphia) for Marriage Interview

10/04/16 - Congressional Inquiry

01/05/17 - Ombudsman says will receive Interview letter within 30 Days!

02/01/17 - Marriage Interview

02/02/17 - I-130 Approved!!!  :D
