Hey guys, called NVC Today i was told my file wasn't physically arrived to them and that i have to wait up to 6 weeks..what should i do ? FYI my i-130 was approved on aug 12th..

Oh wow that's a long wait, I was approved 3rd aug, sent to NVC 18th August. Still no notification they received it. Does the USCIS app notify us of that tho or do we just find out when NVC contacts us?

Call them. They will have received the physical file but you won't have a case number yet. They don't notify you that they have received it until after the case number has been generated.

You won't get any notification that it has been received. You must call them to find out.

The estimated time from approved to case number assignment is about 6 weeks.

But sometimes it arrives faster while others take longer. Call every other day to find out if it has been received. Them you can start the 2 wks count down to case number.

I have received the hard copy of NOA2 for my CR1 visa. They mentioned that they have sent the visa petition to rhe NVC.So I wanted to know when can i call them and verify that they received my petition at NVC

hello kindly need some advice from fellow march filers please!

AOS and IV fee are both available to be paid but I haven't done so since I am still not done gathering documents and filling up form i-864. From my understanding after AOS and IV fee has been paid the beneficiary (my husband) will then need to fill up form ds-260 online, I then mail form I-864 and other documents that are on the checklist that was sent to me (the one with the barcode) tax return of 3yrs, and photocopies of civil documents. (IS THAT ALL? DO I UNDERSTAND THE PROCESS CORRECTLY?)

This is what is written on the cover sheet checklist:

• Do not include any form of electronic media, including CDs and memory cards. If you send electronic media to the NVC, we will return it unopened.

• Send photocopies of your civil documents (e.g., birth certificate). Send an original, signed Form I-864 Affidavit of Support(s).

• Failure to use this cover sheet will delay your visa.

• Use this cover sheet only for the case number indicated below. Information for any other case that you mail in the same package must include the cover sheet for that case.

Also I am a stay at home mom so I have no income of my own, I currently moved back with my mom she will be my co-sponsor (she files my daughter and I as dependents on her tax return) from my understanding my mom fills out form i-864 too, now on my form i-864 that i have to fill out 50% of it I have no answer to since i have no income of my own, is that okay or do I have to provide a letter explaining why I have no income of my own? i know i have a lot of question but i find the form i-864 so confusing..

Glory be to Almighty Allah,I had RFE and I mailed Uscis back with what they request for on 23rd of August and they receive it by 24th of August.Now my I-130 was approved yesterday on 31st of August.Thanks God and I wish everyone that is waiting to be approve well and they should keep on praying cos everyone better day will come soonest.Amen
