I just checked my status on the USCIS web Site and it has been updated today . It says case was received : with the following message

On March 11, 2016, we received your Form I-130, Immigrant Petition for Relative, Fiance(E), or Orphan, Receipt Number YSC++++++++++, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by April 10, 2016, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

So in the system now crazy how these little things make you feel one step closer Anybody else from March check their status online?

Mine still shows "validation error.."

I received email and text message 03/22/2016 confirming my case was received, accepted and routed to NSC for processing, so what does that mean?

Your case is been sent to one of the service centers.. it will take 6 to 7 months before it goes to NVC

i checked the website, but what i really want to know is that if i will have to post those documents together with the I-130 /G325 form to chicago lockbox at first submission of my filing or later when going through the NVC stage?

The checklist will tell you what to send with the I-130...

You wait for first NOA.. the case number prefix will tell where it was transferred to.

And you don't need a lawyer unless you have a complicated case. Use the guides here to help you.

Someone tried to convince me to get a lawyer too but from what I have read on this forum, some lawyers can mislead you. I'd rather make my own mistakes than to sit through someone's mistakes.

okay thank you.Making mistakes on this forms kinda sucks. but anyway I guess the waiting begins.

So, I just got an email with receipt number (YAAY). Transferred to Nebraska Service Center (BOOO :( ). I thought if the USC lives and files from abroad the petition goes to California and is "auto-expedited"

I think the 'auto expediting' only happens when the USC lives abroad and does Direct Consular Filing. Was that not available at the Embassy in Prague? :/

EDIT: Sorry I just checked the Prague Embassy infos and it says they do allow DCF, may I ask why you didnt take that way?

Yes my USC wife lives abroad for many years. We emailed the embassy and they told us they only do DCF in special cases. So, for embassies that don't do DCF they apparently get auto-expedited per this forum http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/357465-usc-petitioner-living-abroad/page-45

This is going with the information I gathered here. I could be wrong.

My case (I-130) was received by Nebraska on 11Mar. So far we only received text notification. I downloaded an uscis app to check case status. *Guys try it out!*

Case status changed to "case was received" on 23mar & ask us to call if we don't receive our receipt notice by 10apr. I heard Nebraska is quite slow. Finger crossed. I miss my husband much...can't wait to start our lives together soon ?
