You wait for first NOA.. the case number prefix will tell where it was transferred to. And you don't need a lawyer unless you have a complicated case. Use the guides here to help you. Someone tried

Potomac Service Center pending cases is any one wit RFE got approved in 2 weeks or more let me know i am kind of freaking out what the hell is going on at this center are they under staff or what is the problem with the cases becasue it is increasing my blood pressure and giving me more stress by wating

Hey Guys, just got off the phone with NVC. They confirmed my case is complete and am waiting for a interview date! Im almost at the end of the tunnel. Good luck to everyone else still waiting. Well my case was sent from Potomac Center and NVC received it on July 13 (USCIS sent it July 8) and it took them exactly two weeks to assign a case number at NVC, which i found out by calling them. They were able to provide me with the case number and IIN over the phone on July 27 (2 weeks from July 13). I was able to fill out DS-261 online on the night of July 27 going into July 28 (officially I submitted the form online July 28). I called today (july 28) to confirm but they told me to wait for the welcome letter. Which came later today (around 4:30 EST). Now I will pay the AOS fee and then hopefully by tomorrow or Monday (most likely) I will call and go over the DS-261 and pay the IV fee.

How long after NVC received your case did you start calling?

I started calling day 1. It doesn't hurt to wait 15 mins on the phone before you go to bed if you call at night. It took a while though to get the case number. Expect to wait 1.5 months for your case to get complete at NVC. They are currently taking about 1 month to review the case after you submit the final documents

I also filed in march I see everyone up here had theirs approved I can't even track my case online with my receipt number I called customer care and they say I shouldn't worry as long as I revieve my hard copy of my noa1 which I did it's been almost 5 months and they haven't update my case this is the reason why I'm mad on their website it says immediate family of usc takes 5 month here am I still waiting

Yes I did call them on the 27th. Just call and ask if it has been 2 weeks, you will soon know if they have assigned the case or not. mine was the 11th one they assigned.

Got my case number today. Have been reading about what makes up the case number. Mine was assigned today (16 days since it was received).

Case number isn't active yet.

My I-130 got approved! I just checked the app and it says approved 3rd August!! My NOA1 date was 24th March so it took 133 days... In a Nebraska filer.

Got married: 26th Sep 2013
