9-12 is the whole process which the NOA2 is most of it. Well prepared and a little luck you can do the NVC in 2 months. Then maybe another to interview plus about 2 weeks to Visa In Hand.

I hope you are correct in saying 9-12 months is the whole process. . . however I was talking to a reliable source this morning and recent cases have been taking about 9 months AFTER the NOA2 :/ I hope this is not a normal occurrence.

I wouldn't worry. Normal.. Maybe if that country had AP which can add a lot of time or and embassy/consulate that doesn't schedule right way... but just check your own countries timelines. You would know that already anyways.

You should be focusing on you. Nebraska has been picking it up no?

Well I heard from someone that if I call them daily, being from Pakistan and all, it will make them suspicious. I have already collected all the documents for AOS and IV packages, I have even almost finished the AOS, just need to print and sign it and put the case number on all the pages.

How long it took you to get your case# assigned, They received mine case on 21st July. However, case number has not assigned yet, so let me know how long it took you to get the case #. In addition to that, did you get your case # on phone or you received welcome latter. Let me know the details

Well my case was sent from Potomac Center and NVC received it on July 13 (USCIS sent it July 8) and it took them exactly two weeks to assign a case number at NVC, which i found out by calling them. They were able to provide me with the case number and IIN over the phone on July 27 (2 weeks from July 13). I was able to fill out DS-261 online on the night of July 27 going into July 28 (officially I submitted the form online July 28). I called today (july 28) to confirm but they told me to wait for the welcome letter. Which came later today (around 4:30 EST). Now I will pay the AOS fee and then hopefully by tomorrow or Monday (most likely) I will call and go over the DS-261 and pay the IV fee.

I hope that helps.
