Hi! I am new here.. So, i applied for my husband last March.. He is from the Philippines.. Our PD is Marc 31, 2016.. Our papers were sent to CALIFORNIA.. Received the NOA1 April 4, 2016.. I just checked our status and there is still no movement.. I read that alot of people here are getting approved.. Is there a difference if you are a PR? Coz i read that the processing time for PR and US Citizen are just the same (5 months).. I really want to be with my loved one like all of you here.. Will be praying for all of us.. :) God bless us all!!!

My case is approved!!! 11March, Nebraska- waited 4months 9 days. *almost cry*

My husband called uscis after 4months, I think it helps. He called two times as the first operator wasn't friendly and helpful. So please call after 4months! Good luck everyone!

Congrats!

Just got approved this afternoon, eek!!!!!!

On our NOA1, Our Priority Date said 15th of March, but our Notice Date said 17th, so I just took it as the latter? Just over 4 months, tears came to my eyes as I saw it on the USCIS App today!

Congrats!

So to update those who are at Potomac, I called USCIS precisely after 3 months of my PD of March 22 and well I was told by the tier 2 officer that my case was approved a day before, however when I received the text few hours later (of the same day as my call) the date on NOA2 was june 30 rather than june 29 and i got my hard copy in the mail few days later. after a week of NOA2, the petition was sent to NVC on July 8 and i got a text and alert through the USCIS app.

Then a week later (today) I called NVC to ask them a question regarding AOS, they told me that they received my case and that it will be assigned in 2 weeks.

So my point is that sometimes it is best to call and find out. they can give you information over the phone that you least expect it

The email from USCIS was slow for me since I initially never signed up for the email notifications.

Call them Daily, but different timing. While during the waiting time to get your Case#, collect all the documents for AOS to make your process faster.

Well I heard from someone that if I call them daily, being from Pakistan and all, it will make them suspicious. I have already collected all the documents for AOS and IV packages, I have even almost finished the AOS, just need to print and sign it and put the case number on all the pages.

IV bill was generated today and just paid it. Flying through NVC!

FYI, as soon as you get your approval notice from USCIS, tell your spouse to get police certificates from their country. That way, by the time your case arrive at NVC, you will have it ready to submit to them. It takes about 2 weeks to obtain police certicates

Do you Address the Police Certificate to the embassy or to NVC??
