I don't know the best answer but it is suggested to call USCIS customer service line. If you look at the bottom of your NOA1 form.

I forgot to fill in the country of birth for my husband but I will wait until NVC stage just so I don't cause any delay.

That's just my personal opinion but feel free to call the customer service line to find out how to resolve that.

Most time they either abbreviate it or don't write it. If you wrote it on the application, then you're good. Just call them to be sure too.

How do you know this if you don't mind my asking? I just looked at uscis processing times on their website and the Nebraska office is still showing 5 months.
