Hi guys,

I'm from Indonesia and my Fiancè is from U.S, He is working in Military and get deployed in Europe .

we're are planning to get married on this April in my country (Indonesia) and we would like to go for DCF in Belgium where he get deployed so my question here :

  1. Can I and Fiancè file DCF in Belgium while I'm not Belgium Citizen ? or do I need to wait in Indonesia to get interview ?
  2. How long the DCF take for maximum time ?

And I'm planning to visit him in Belgium for more than two months after we get married.

Thanks in advance ,

Kwiq

No DCF in Belgium. https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/international-immigration-offices

In most cases the beneficiary needs to be a legal resident of the country, not a visitor to do DCF. It appears that you will do your interview in Indonesia.

I did come across to the US embassy's website in Belgium , there's an exceptional I-130 filing in consulate in Belgium but we have to email them to request for it to ask them whether they accept it or not .

So if they do really accept , he file DCF in Belgium and I'll get my interview in my country ?

Your circumstances do not seem exceptional, but it does not cause any problems to make the request.

If accepted by the embassy the interview would be there.

My husband was stationed in Belgium, I dont think Europe is considered deployment. We lived there together in Belgium for few years but had to go to CR1, they didnt even mention DCF, so I dont think they do it.But it seemed like people at embassy didnt really know what they were talking about, so maybe we got wrong information. I am not sure if you need visa to visit him in Belgium as you are not EU citizen. After you are married he can add you to deers and you can have tricare insurance, but since he already had orders in Europe before you got married I dont think you would qualify for any expedite. I was able to switch processing and interview from Belgium to Czech Republic, but because its my home country and I moved back , not sure if you can have interview in Belgium if you re not residing there. But I might be wrong. Good luck :)
