Hi all,

I filled out and deliver my I-130 to Monterrey-Mex Consulate, as where we reside (my daughter is my petitioner) she is at college here in Monterrey, we went together to the consulate on Jan-21st-2016, I'm using my sister's address in Texas to receive the correspondence, and on February 26, got the letter stating that we may go ahead and schedule the interview, but it doesn't say what else do I need to fill out, or pay, or if I will need an affidavit of support, that's all what we have received,

  • does anyone have an idea what forms, paper needs to gather for the interview?
  • another thing, my daughter is living in Mexico, do not have an income tax, but my sister will fill it out along with her fiancee, how many people may fill and affidavit?

thank you all!

Kaya

You need to check the links from the letter. There you can find updated information of what is required.

Your daughter is the petitioner so she should file the I-864 form also if your sister is going to be the co sponsor she also needs to file the I-864. If she files taxes jointly with her husband/wife the husband or wife should file the I-864A (The I-864A was not asked in my interview but it is recommended to take it with you). The sponsors (your daughter and sister) need to provide tax transcripts. You can request them on the IRS website. I am not sure if you can still download them or order them to be delivered by mail.

Also your daughter (as the petitioner) needs to move back to USA before you or at the same time than you.

My husband filed the I-130 for my petition in Monterrey consulate and I had my interview in Ciudad Juarez. Ciudad Juarez consulate is the only one in Mexico that processes the immigration visas.
