using new married name in US and maiden name in home country

Would there be any ramifications if my wife uses a new married name in US and maiden name in her home country?

I searched through VJ but couldn't find similar Q&A so posting here.

She has already submitted AOS based on K-1 in her new name and completed biometrics.

Say her maiden name is: SATO (last), Marie (first).

She wants her US name to be: WILSON (last), Marie (first).

Her SSN and AOS application is already in WILSON, Marie.

But she wants to continue to use her maiden name in her home country: SATO, Marie.

When she asked consulate here about name change, they said using married family name in US and maiden family name in home country is completely fine.

In that case she could just use her passport as it is,

or

change her passport name to: SATO (WILSON), Marie.

That was the consulate's advice.

But we wonder, will this cause any problem in the US??

Initially her wish was to use only WILSON, Marie. But after giving a thought about how much work is in store in home country to update her name-- driver's license, credit card, investment account, pension programme, 3 bank accounts-- she's having second thought.

We appreciate any advice or experience from you.

That's exactly what I'm doing. I'm leaving my maiden name in my home country. When I have to renew my Canadian passport I'll change it then. My CDN driver's license expired 6 months after crossing into the US though, so I won't have to change that. All my CDN financials are still in my maiden name too.

Will there be no time limit for name change in Canadian law Loki?

In her country she must change her name no later than 6 months from marriage.

After that, consulates cannot process it and you'll have to go through court to do that.

Really wondering if there's any problem in US side.

I don't know if there's a time limit. I won't be a resident of Canada any longer so I never looked in to it. I figured changing my name with my bank would be pretty easy though.
