Why Trump can't be president

Yeah, funny what happens when you have the government picking winners and losers.

The US has moved from a manufacturing based and production based economy to a service based economy and that is just not a good thing. There was a huge shift several decades ago to service based, and then to real estate. It is a big part of the problem and the crises in the last decade and a half as well as the one that is coming.

Woa! I actually agree with you.

Woa! I actually agree with you.

That's kind of scary.

You do realize the first part of what I said actually meant I am against any bailouts, not just bank bailouts but auto bailouts as well?

Bailouts make companies lazy. If you can't survive you need to move over and make room for someone better. People need to be held accountable.

I'm against it too, however, jobs = consumers. Our lack of manufacturing and outsourcing is killing this country. America, as powerful as we still are, should be a much wanted brand. Our name should be on everything around the world and it isn't.

I agree. I believe that we would be surprised at the flexibility of the market system to absorb and make way for others to fill these places.

Well maybe Keynesians/libs would be surprised. Throughout history there are many cases of companies that went under and someone that ended up being fired eventually started their own business and changed the world; or, a new company came in place and did much better things. But when the government keeps holding up failed companies they are letting failure reign over possible greatness.

I have a question. Who are you talking to? No one here in this thread is here illegally.

And btw, this isn't your country. Unless you're 100 percent Native American and you have a deed laying claim to North America, I suggest you sit down and take a breather.

Everybody has been talking about this. You should get started. Another member said it takes 18 months to get a visa to Canada. Again, I'm glad I live in Hawaii.

4 the record, we want Bernie too

I'm planning to make my husband Canadian as soon as I start working here in the states so we have enough money for my green card and for his Canadian citizenship :) Edited by MASH

I'm talking to all the complainers like you who think gaining citizenship in U.S. Is a right. You better believe it's my country, I'm a born U.S. Citizen. And if anyone here who is given the privlidge to come into our country needs to respect our borders. Our country was built by Americans and voters and the decisions of our past great leaders. You come to our country, until you are a legal citizen and are allowed to vote you play by our rules! If your not an elgiable voting U.S. Citizen then your opinion is worthless.

I honestly felt a bit sorry for Trump yesterday. The moderators ganged up on him, not meanly, but with their slides and videos. I guess he deserved it for being the front runner and also having no consistent positions, but it was his weakest showing yet, IMO. Chris Wallace's examples of how negotiating better deals to save $300B on drugs is impossible when only $78B are spent on drugs was pretty terrible for Trump. Then megyn had some cold s@*# to throw his way, too, but didn't do it coldly.

It is too bad kasich has been noticed so late, as it's almost certainly too late for him, even though he quite perfectly said just the right stuff.

Good luck!

Just for the record, I've never seen Marvin (Stay Woke) say anything of the sort.

So after one becomes an American citizen anything goes?

Back on topic, I found this meme with a quote from Mitt Romney to Donald Trump back when Romney was running for president and Trump endorsed him. Romney is a typical establishment hypocrite and will do or say anything to keep the outsider Trump from becoming president..
