Because I think it is an important point to make.

Like I said I'm not talking only about black people. For instance I also think that as much as I support gay rights and them wanting to be just like everyone else, I think having their own silly parade is very detrimental to that. You see, you gotta practice what you preach. You can't be in people's face basically going hey look at me I'm different and then want them to see you as the same.

As I mentioned before my wife and I own a business here, we treat everyone equally. We've had several gay couples come into our shop and ask her if she would mind doing a wedding for a gay couple. Her response was "As long as you don't mind a straight person doing it" which always makes them feel comfortable and gets some chuckles.

And like I told you, my thanksgiving dinner had way more black folks than white. But they know I really don't want to hear about all their problems. If they want to be like everyone else that's what I wanna hear about; their regular day to day life.

Here's the issue with that:

So, when we are killed in the street by cops and it's covered up, when we are not hired because of skin color or black sounding names, or our kids are sent home for their natural hair styles, what is the appropriate course of action? How do you move forward without making any sound?

You know why gay people march and have parades? Because living in fear of your life for decades has that effect on you. Now being able to get married and not killed for if,it's a big thing. That's why people can't understand the difference between white pride and black/gay pride. No one has ever told white people they couldn't be proud of their race, ever. Black/gay people were made to be ashamed of their own existence. And still are to this day. That struggle is every day life.

I only judge people for their success and character as long as that's all they show me. You want to start going into everything else it's on you. You want to be singled out it's on you. You want preferential treatment it's on you. You want a special day, or month or holiday for you it's on you. You want to constantly remind me of the problems you face not from me specifically then it's on you. I don't care to hear about it cause I already know it exists, all I want to see is you and I'll treat you as you.

PS this is not specifically about any race or religion but just my general approach. As a Jew you won't see me walk up to people and start talking to them about all the problems Jews face. Act like anybody else(which is what I try to do) and I'll treat you just like anybody else. Act different and I'll treat you different.

Exactly, couldn't have said it better; neither have we seen a Jewish or Native American president. If America is so racist then how did Obama get to be president. It's the black thugs in gangs who shoot each other and everyone else who are giving blacks a bad rap in the eyes of all society not just whites. Which was you have no point. The only people who are being blamed are the people dealing the damage. You feel we are blaming you as an individual as if you are solely to blame. That's pure stupidity at best.

All I'm saying is, if a black person commits a crime, that person committed it. Just because I'm black also I shouldn't get the side eye for it. Just like I don't side eye white men when white men go on shooting sprees. I understand that was that individual's choice. I'm not going to discriminate against every white man I meet because of another man's poor choice.

If every one would just judge all individuals off of that individual's character the complaints, the profiling, racism could All disappear

I live in a predominantly black neighbourhood in Clearwater. The cops are here I'd say 1-2x a week. Oddly enough it seems to be the female cops that come out to our hood. I do kind of wonder if it's a police tactic.

You would help your case a lot by not saying "we" every time something happens to a black person thousands of miles away as if you are all part of a single individual organism.
