My main point is, just as it is not right to stereotype black people, it isn't right to stereotype the police. There are bad people everywhere, so why pick on the cops? Why do you have such hate for them? I was trying say that when you need help, you call the cops and they will respond. Usually in a good way, not a bad way.

This holds true for the average American, but for some, calling the police could very well end your life, not save it.

Off duty cop, called the police, in pursuit of a guy who robed him. He told them he was NYPD. NYPD shows up and kills the off duty cop. The choice came down to who was likely the bad guy and they chose the black guy who was the cop.

No one is saying all cops are bad. We are saying other people's realities are different. No matter how well black people attempt to do, we are judged by our worst which hinders us from moving forward. People's prejudices are programmed in like an incureable disease. Don't judge me for my demographics, judge me for my own individual success. Judge me for my character and not by another person's have no relation to. But again, some people don't want to deprogram. They'd rather live in fear of the unknown instead of live without fear with new enlightenment

What I find interesting is, here we can talk about the ills of the black community as long as it flows one way. That's the only conversation folks want to have. Here's a cheat sheet for you.

Black people want to be treated just like anyone else, we don't want a BET or a Black history month, but let's get real. White people(as a whole, not all of them) don't want to include us, but get mad when we create our own. It's a double edge sword. I'd rather not have Affirmative Action, but I'm sorry to say that racism is still very current in this country. What people want is for us to OVERCOME the rigged game instead of making it even. That's why it's an issue. As a black man and my wife also, we shouldn't have to work twice as hard to prove we're half as good as a white person.

Black people get murdered by the police for nothing. It's a proven fact. Even now the Chinese are protesting that white cops get to kill us and walk while this Chinese police officer is being charge. That's sad when they're pointing out something we've known for years and just now it's a problem since one of their own is feeling the crunch.

Because I think it is an important point to make.

Like I said I'm not talking only about black people. For instance I also think that as much as I support gay rights and them wanting to be just like everyone else, I think having their own silly parade is very detrimental to that. You see, you gotta practice what you preach. You can't be in people's face basically going hey look at me I'm different and then want them to see you as the same.

As I mentioned before my wife and I own a business here, we treat everyone equally. We've had several gay couples come into our shop and ask her if she would mind doing a wedding for a gay couple. Her response was "As long as you don't mind a straight person doing it" which always makes them feel comfortable and gets some chuckles.

And like I told you, my thanksgiving dinner had way more black folks than white. But they know I really don't want to hear about all their problems. If they want to be like everyone else that's what I wanna hear about; their regular day to day life.
