Relationship evidence (specific to your case, the Alipay transaction sheets) does not need to be translated; however, it is best to explain what it is so the person who looks at will know what they are looking at.

As far as official documents are concerned, that is a different story. Despite what some other posters have pointed out, some Embassies and Consulates will require translations of civil documents even if it is in the official language of the country, China is an example of this. It's always best to check with the Embassy or Consulate where the interview is taking place to find out what document translation requirements are instead of solely relying on the NVC website's language.

The insurance policy is all in Chinese though. Should I explain in the cover sheet what the important aspects mean? Such as translate that I'm the policy holder and the beneficiary is my wife, etc? Or should I translate the whole thing which is like a full page of Chinese?

I just got an email from I believe the NVC asking to complete a DS260 online.

So I logged the DS260 page as the applicant. I tried to log in as the petitioner but it says incorrect info. In any case, I have a few questions:

The information requested is strictly for my wife (the beneficiary/applicant) and not for myself, correct? It's asking for any divorce proof. I've been divorced, but she has not.

I've already submitted proof of her birth (she doesn't have a birth cert.) but seems the DS260 is asking for it again. Is this a different department?

The Police Certificates, this again, assuming is for her only and not myself? I can get this from the local police station, correct?

As always, any info would be greatly appreciated.
