Hello,

I have a question regarding joint sponsors living in the same household.

My income is about 40,000 a year but I recently began my two jobs. I have letter from both of my jobs stating that. I am worried that they might be questioned since they are very recent jobs and my last year income was about 17,000 because I was out if the country with my fiance.

There is a total of 4 people, my fiance and his 3 children. I am applying for a K1 non immigrant fiance visa.

I would feel much safer if both my dad and my sister who live under the same house would help me.

My question is if we should all fill out an individual i134 or if we need to fill out an i864a since they are same household member sponsors.

If my dad and sister help is there two i864 one for me and my sister and one for me and my dad?

Can you please clarify this for me.

In an i864a will both incomes be combined or how does it work?

Please help.

I-134 does not allow for incomes to be combined. So any joint sponsor would have to meet the income requirement alone.

If your 2 jobs give you an income that meets the requirement then submit letters from both employers along with several recent paystubs to support your income claim. Current and continuing income is what they want to see. It sounds like you have that.

If there are questions simply answer with the truth that you were out of the country with your fiance and are now back and working.

Agreed with the previous reply.

Also, where are you in the process? :time: I am asking because if, say, you are only filing now it will be another 6+ months till interview when you need the I-134.
