Wow what a journey it has been beginning in the middle of July and finally ending today when the postman deliveredthe visa ppacket. For the year and a half I've never seen so much excitement from my fiance and her family, eeveryone was jumping around in celebration, I had no idea what all this meant to them. As soon as she tore open the packet she started packing for tomorrow's flight, right now she is almost done and there are so many family and friends hovering around her from her village, she must feel like a celebrity. It is a big deal for a village girl to get out of the village and she has made it. I want to thank everyone who has helped us through this journey getting to this point.

It is indeed a huge deal for a village girl to make it out of there and into the USA, people were dropping in all day long on the news and tomorrow morning at 6am there will be a breakfast party with alcohol followed by music and dancing at the village temple to pay respects to the monks for helping her with the good luck. We went to the market to buy food for dinner and the party tomorrow and all the vendors were sizing me up, undoubtedly they all heard of the news to

My plan was to sleep in tomorrow before the 11:40pm flight out but plans have changed, the 8 hour layover in Seoul isn't gonna be pleasant either then the final 12 hour leg to San Francisco will make for a good 48 hour session of celebration and travel, it's a good thing I'm on cloud 9, it shouldn't be too bad

we are home and settling in a little, its a bit of a culture shock to her especially with the high prices of everything. we ate at a thai restaurant yesterday and its nothing like her home countries food, trying to make her feel as comfortable here as i can

she did notice that drivers will stop for pedestrians, not the case in thailand
