I think hillary had 20% of the delegates she needed before the first vote was cast. I agree super delegates are a joke, the very definition of establishment power.

Like him or love him Trump is the honest choice of the republican electorate this time. Hillary was forced on people whether they liked her or not. Although the irony of the following statement may actually break the internet: Trump is the people's choice.

Good luck!

The super delegates are one of the most corrupt things in politics. They really need to do away with them.

The whole system needs an overhaul IMO. Our poor education system and short attention spans do work to the politicians advantage in this case.

What I have observed is most of the "political pundits " on vj have been completely wrong on all of their predictions so far. The first part of your prediction is like betting on a football team that is ahead 45-3 in the third quarter.

Apparently you missed the threads on Obamas first and second elections?

Just to clarify, the Republicans technically do not have "super delegates", they have allocated and unallocated delegates for the primaries.

Exactly, no firewall they are stuck with the Don

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.

how many terms do you hope mighty trump be around for? certainly as many as it takes to 'make america great again' and build that useful savior of a wall. will trump be the first great american dictator? i dunno, he mos def is a 'natural born leader'!!!*

soooo obama was giving out obama phones, do you think trump will offer free bankruptcy filings?

He should get as many terms as he needs to make America great again. I mean, who doesn't want to be great? I wanna be great.

Trump only needs one term to get the country turned in the right direction. Now of course the USA hating libs will do whatever they can to turn us into a third world country, but even so there still seems to be pride in the USA even among democrats.

I saw a clip of Hillary and her audience...hand picked minorities....but they were all chanting USA USA USA.

Got to love that they are patriotic.

Look at that, Sanders pulled a couple of states. And man did he just obliterate in Vermont. I know it's his home state but still. When the civil war starts after the election this year maybe Vermont will join with the red states.

I think this election will come down to either four years of Trump (he will be a one-termer since he cannot possibly live up to the hype) or eight of Hillary. Who can take eight of Hillary?

Not a chance. Vermont's going to remain blue for the foreseeable future. Which makes my wife and I wonder if it's even going to be worth our time to vote. BTW VT used to be red(had alot to do with being the first to abolish slavery etc etc), up until the late 70's or so when the influx of hippies outta NY and other places began. Still to this day alot of people in VT are relatively conservative especially in the more rural places, the cities of course have all the liberals, but even the GOP in this state is relatively moderate. For instance while Sanders obliterated Clinton, and while Trump did win as well, it was very tight and Kasich who is the more moderate came in very close second. Rubio and Cruz nowhere even close.

I think there is an equal chance of one term or two terms for Trump, or one term or two for Clinton, I don't see her being any less disappointing than him, actually to the contrary.

i'm already great. trump would actually offset my greatness hence my resistance to his throne..

i keep hearing people refer to kasich as moderate - i think this really says something about our current political crisis.

If you HAD to vote for one of them(and don't tell me you don't have to therefor you can't or won't pick any of them) who would it be?

Out of Cruz, Rubio, Trump, Carson, Kasich would you not pick the latter?

Probably not worth it. I really think that since the president has to govern the entire US the entire US should vote on him or her; the electorate system is a mess and a popular vote far more straight forward.

Good luck!

i feel like i'd rather die than vote for any of them. honestly, being a woman and knowing where all these fools stand on women's rights, yeah i'd rather just die than back any of them. kasich is probably less moderate than trump on that particular issue. although trump is more openly misogynist and foul overall. i know i know, part of his shtick. if i had to, carson. i feel like a vote for carson is vote into a special sort of void. a void with no real political path forward :content:
