You should join the May NVC thread. There's a lot of useful and helpful information that will be beneficial to you.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/594365-nvc-filers-may-2016/page-1

Read the first post on that thread and read through the NVC Process Wiki page.

You are correct. You can't do anything until NVC has issued you with a case number and invoice number. If you know that USCIS has sent your approved petition to NVC already, then start calling NVC to confirm they received it. Once they confirm they received it, wait about a week and start calling them again to get your case and invoice numbers.

Thank you so much. I was looking for a thread like that. Since I was in the Feb I130 thread and it was very helpful. I have read the NVC Process Wiki many times and will read it again step by step.

I just got the email on Friday it will take couple of days for the NVC to recieve our case. We are filling from abroad so the letter will take little longer then usual. Our NOA1 took about 12 days to get here in Bosnia.

Don't set your hopes for NVC receiving your petition in a couple of days. They receive a high volume of petitions everyday. Mine took a week for them to say they received it. Lately, people have been saying they've had to wait a couple of weeks because of the backlog. So even if your petition is physically delivered to NVC in a couple of days...until they put it into their system, the phone Reps will continue to say that have not received and it can take up to 42 days to receive it.

Not trying to discourage you, just setting expectations. give it a week and start calling them once a day to see if they received it yet.

I see that is ok. How do I know they received our petition, will they send an email? Since I live abroad our NOA2 will take up to 14 days to get here. I received our approval by email.

I'm so happy!

I thank everyone for answering all my questions. I just got an email with letter attached from NVC to confirm that I'm now in the queue for an interview at the US embassy in London and it would be within 60 days. I got an email last week to confirm they'd received my package which was sent beginning of April.

Please point me in the direct to getting ready for my interview in London etc.

Thank you.
