I-134 or I-864

HI!

I applied for the K1 Visa in December 2015 for my fiancé in Brazil.

I am now on the 2nd Step.

All I need know is to do now is the medical examination and the Evidence of financial support.

The Nonimmigrant Visa for a Fiancé (K-1) on travel.state.gov site says to file the I-134

BUT in the I-134 instruction it states Do not use Form I-134 if the alien whom you are sponsoring is required to have Form I-864 instead.

Someone told me I had to file with the I-864 and now I'm confused, How do I know which one two use??

If I choose to use the I-134 all I have to do is send it to him in Brazil and he'll take them in to the interview

Now if I choose the I-864 Where do I end it through?

Any insight is welcomed!!

You don't choose. It's I-134 for K-1 visa.

The I-864 is submitted with your Adjustment of Status application after you get married. The I-134 is for the K-1 visa itself.

Though officially not required, they are appreciated. So if you have them use them.
