Had my interview today at the orlando, fl field office. We went through airport style security taking off our shoes. Checked in, and waited for about 1 hour before called. I arrived 30 minutes before the interview. The officer called by my name. Asked 6 questions

98. What is the name of the national anthem?

54.How old do citizens have to be to vote for president?

12. What is the rule of law?

86. What major event happened on Sept 11 in the U.S.

89. What ocean is on the west coast of the U.S?

96. Why does the flag have 13 stripes?

The officer was friendly, after asking me to read and write the answer to the question.Which state is the largest, Alaska is the largest.

We went over the application and after about an hour, he recommended for approval.

Hi everyone,

 

My fiance applied for naturalization in San Francisco last March, had the biometrics appointment in August but since then nothing has happened. I hear about USCIS delays in processing lately. Other experiences by applicants in San Francisco?

Happy New Year!

I received a letter mid December letting me know that USCIS was experiencing delays and that I had to wait. 

I do not know how long I should wait before I contact them again? Should I wait until March?

What's your online status show? Does it say "we are scheduling an interview ...." or still at "we received your application" ?

Well, my husband's status changed to In Line on January 4th. No news since then and no letter or anything. When we call the USCIS they just say that he is being processed, but they gave my husband the impression it could be up to 90 days before he receives his interview letter. Hopefully he will have his interview soon!

Finally congrats!! Such a long wait. It doesn't happen frequently but some field offices conduct interviews on Saturdays. When I had my interview in Boston last June, the IO told they conduct Saturday interviews once in each month. Good luck in your interview, keep us posted how it goes.
