Have the application for my husband ready to go just a few last details. He has been an LPR for 7 years I initially filled out the N400 on basis of marriage, was thinking maybe I should change it to the 5 years (does it matter?). Last have to figure out if we need evidence of child support. My step son is in Thailand and we send/take money to them but not in a formal way. We are not in Thailand to get a letter from his mom so not sure how/what to provide as evidence.

Looking to send in the application this week after we get this last detail worked out.

I cannot say much on the child support front, but if your husband has been an LPR for 7 years, it would be better if you ticked the box for the 5 year option. This is because applying for citizenship on basis of marriage to USC requires more evidence and paperwork which is unnecessary in his case.

Hello!

Can somebody update the list for me please?

GC date 06/13/12

App sent 03/02/16

sent to Nebraska Service Center

Local office Seattle Service center

Filed fee waiver

I accidentally sent the application to the the Phoenix lockbox instead of the Nebraska service center. I called USCIS last week and they told me that they forwarded my app to Nebraska. Hopefully things will start moving now. I haven't received a receipt notice yet. I don't even know if my fee waiver was approved or not. It's all so stressful.

Just completed my fingerprints via early walk in. It took 20 minutes and it wasn't an issue that I went in early

Hi Aninyc, so they allowed you to just walk in to collect your biometric data?

@Kris. Yes, the USCIS center on Houston and Varick allows walk ins before your biometric date. So just walk in any time between 8 and 4pm and they should accept it as long as you have the bio letter. I went at 12:45 today and was done by 1:15. You may have a longer wait if it's crowded.
