This might be stupid question, but, hey.. we take care of each other always, don't we? :D

I know there is no 'requirement' to what to wear in naturalization interview. So those who completed the interview, can you please share your experience. What would be appropriate to wear. I live in California coastline I don't want to end up looking like a surfer dude when everyone else is in suit and tie! :jest:

While my interview is approaching nearby, I appreciate if you can share your experience.

Board shorts, graphic tee, flip flops, and baseball hat. j/k :)

I had to go to my interview straight from work. I was wearing slacks, and a long-sleeve button up shirt. I didn't wear a necktie this time (I did for my AOS interview). It was 80 degrees outside, no need for a jacket. At the waiting room I've seen probably 10-15 people come and go, all in either business casual or business attire. I should say however a few of the interviewing officers were in jeans and sporty shirts, which I thought was odd, maybe they have casual Fridays at USCIS field offices (my interview was on a Friday).

To be honest i noticed that many of them over there were formally dressed. But I was wearing jean with Casual Shirt. So be Normal and look good. Trust it does not matter at all.

No need to wear tie, blazer etc., again there is no specific dress code for interview but for Oath ceremony there is Strictly business casual.

Hello everyone, I just got an interview notice letter. It will be on August 4th in Jacksonville. I had all my other appointments in New Orleans, never once in Jacksonville but now my interview will be in Jacksonville, FL. My address is in Niceville, FL. It's in the panhandle, near Destin and Panama city Beach. I thought it was strange before when I first got schedule for biometrics in NOLA but I had to be there 2 times already so I thought that was my field office. Can someone please update my status and also change my field office from New Orleans to Jacksonville, FL please? Thank you.

Interview was today!

I think it went okay??

I brought a ton of documents and evidence. The IO didn't ask for any of it, just my passport, green card, and driver's license. I passed the tests, but then the IO got pretty aggressive about my religion. In the end, the IO printed out a letter saying that I had been recommended for approval, but said that he was going to pass my case to another officer to take a look at. I still haven't gotten a status update saying that I'm inline for an oath, though... how long after the interview does that usually take?

Also, the IO never asked me to sign my passport photos. Is that something that is usually done at the interview, or at the oath?

This is great news. Congrats on finally getting your letter, and thanks for posting. I hope we will be getting one in the foreseeable future. If you wouldn't mind sharing, when is your interview date? I'd love to have a rough idea of when my husband's might be scheduled.

I didn't sign my photos either at the interview and will take oath next week but if you don't mind how did the conversation come to your religion and the IO wanted to dig deep?

Regarding in line for oath status, I was also recommended for approval on the spot but that in line for oath status didn't come for another 10 days. Nothing to worry about.

Hi. I wanted to you ask you guys for a suggestion/opinion.

We mailed out everything March 28 or so and received a noa1 dated 4/7. Wife got the appt for biometrics on May 4. Since that day, we haven't received anything and the website never seemed to update. We called to day and the guy honestly just read what we could read on the website. There's nothing new he could tell me.

Only thing he says is that possibly, we could have gotten a new receipt number at biometrics. Could this be true? I'm going to check when i get back home later today and verify this. Even if it's the case, we still haven't heard back and that seems like it's been too long already.

What do you guys think?

I updated the date of my oath ceremony, I've received the letter today it will be on August 8th. congratulations and good luck to you guys. thanks for the advice and help. :)

Interview: Date of your interview
Oath: Date Oath taken
Field Office: Your local USCIS office where you will have the N-400 interview
