Visa granted but wants him to come back to embassy

My husband went to his interview last Tuesday and the person doing the interview said "congratulations I have issued your immigrant visa so you can pick up everything in 2 weeks." Then he received a call today (1 week later) and said "come back to the embassy on March 29th." Does anyone know why he would need to come back and what it means?

it's possible something was missed prior to the interview.

After the interview, a complete review of the casefile is done.

As to 'what' ? Hard to guess, the range runs from 1 missed document all the way up to 214(b ) denial. Usually if it's a missed document, though, there are other instructions specific to the document.

whats the current status online at CEAC ?

I wish they were able to tell us what they needed so if there is a missed document then he could bring it, instead of dragging it out even longer.

My dear you have to pray very hard because Ghana is crazy even though they have his passport. Thats what happened to my fiance. They had his passport but was called up and denied him. So good luck.

Could be to get signature or pick up his visa

Morocco said Aramex would issue visa and he had to pick the office but they called him to come pick it up

It will be a clerical eorr that needs to be corrected or it could be an almost expired passport (less than 6 months expiration) or it could be a denial. Regardless, you have to go back and find out. So, I pray it is good news.

My husband was called back to the embassy after our family's visas were issued. An error by the embassy was made and they were trying to correct it. Good luck.

I had the same experience. After 4 days my visa was approved I got an email from the embassy saying that they tried calling but my phone never worked n they wants me go back to the embassy for some I formation. I was shocked . But don't worry all they gonna ask is some missing information that they suppose to ask and as far as I know if once approved they can't deny u
