AOS common residence proof

Hi all. I'm wondering for those who have more experience in the AOS. The guides here talk about evidence of common residence. When I read the instructions for the adjustment of status form, it doesn't say to send that stuff.

My question is: is the common residence stuff to be brought for the interview? Or is it recommended to send the stuff you have? Does it help to send that stuff?

I have our apartment lease, joint deposit accounts, and him as a beneficiary on my work-provided insurances.

Is that enough? Or does someone recommend more?

That should be fine. Proof of relationship is not required for AOS, but it is for ROC. With that being said, I have seen a few RFE's being sent for proof of relationship. We couldn't add my guy to the lease because he doesn't have an SSN, but I sent them information on him being added to the health insurance policy. I even included the cost comparison to show them how much more it is per month AND per year.

If you send it with your petition, it will be looked at by the officer, so it may help. It definitely won't hurt!

The only proof of marriage/relationship needed with the initial filing is a copy of your marriage certificate. Save the other stuff for an interview, IF you even have one, and of course later for ROC.

Thank you for your input. This is what I wanted to clarify, as I see that many people on here mention that they send in proof with the AOS stuff when the actual instructions say nothing of the sort.
